We’re going to have a go at the Wasps

Gary Naysmith reckons the Fifers have failed to fire against Alloa this term.

The Wasps visit Bayview on league duty tonight (Tuesday) with the sides having already met twice this campaign, in both the league and cup.

Jim Goodwin’s men have the upper hand, winning 2-1 in the league and 3-0 in the cup.

But Naysmith says his side haven’t done themselves justice against the men from the Wee County, and wants to get that right at Bayview this evening.

“I want to have a good go at Alloa,” he said.

“We’ve not really given ourselves a chance against them this season.

“We gave away a couple of bad goals in the first game and then scored too late to make it 2-1.

“The next game we missed a penalty at 2-0 and could have gone in at half-time only a goal behind at 2-1.

“Instead we give another bad goal away not long after and instead of going in 2-1 behind we’re 3-0 down.”

Mark Hurst is suspended for the game.
