It was back to league business after last week’s defeat to Super League Linlithgow.
Kennoway’s first goal came following some good link up play from Gavin Gray who helped the ball onto the fleet-footed Kieran Band who raced away and slid his shot past the keeper.
A penalty claim was rejected when Gray looked to have been tripped as he entered the penalty area, the striker collected the ball wide on the right and he bustled his way past a few challenges, as he entered the box a defender stuck out his leg, he went down and the ref took no action waving play to continue.
The second goal saw poaching at its best when Band pounced to knock home after Brodie Gray had unleashed a shot from 20 yards.
The shot was struck with some venom that brought out a good save from Dalkeith’s keeper, he was unhappy that none of his defender’s reacted the way the young KSH striker had done as his side were now two goals behind.
After such a promising first half played at the tempo the home side had put into the game it was only natural there would be a slight dip as the second half started.
Dalkeith created the best chance but their strikers headed effort went straight into the hands of Paterson.
