Kirkcaldy YM recorded another win on the road and secured another vital three points with a 5-2 win over league strugglers Pumpherston Juniors.

Lewis Elder gave the YM the lead when he drove the ball into the net from inside the six yard box.

YM were stunned when the home side broke clear and Y Scott Bissett turned a shot into his own net.

Andy Wilson gave the YM a commanding lead with two goals in 49 and 56 minutes.

Gregg Meikle then got in the act and added number four.

Gordon Adam converted a spot kick for Pumphy to pull one back only for Meikle to score his second and YMs fifth.

This weekend YM travel to Kinoull.

Goals from Kris Maxwell and Ryan McNeil earned Thornton Hibs all three points at Dundee East Craigie.

Maxwell netted from the spot following a handball which left East Craigie to play for an hour with 10 men.

Hibs’ second goal came when, after Lee White saw two shots blocked, the ball fell to McNeil who netted.

On Saturday Hibs travel to Lochee Harp.

Dundonald fell 15 points behind league leaders Edinburgh United, although with four games in hand, after they went down 2-0 at home.

Although the league title may now be out of the club’s reach, promotion is still a possibility and the management team will have to install some confidence and belief into the side if they are to win their remaining games.

Bluebell will look to pick themselves back up when they travel to Haddington on Saturday.
