Glens travelled to Arniston on Saturday with a depleted team.
The first chance of the game fell to the home side but Sommerville ran the ball over the touchline.
Glens won the first corner of the game but Moffatt headed wide. At the other end, an effort from Porteous was held by Costello.
A cross from Leslie was too strong before a run and cross from Kataleza was turned for a corner.
On 15 minutes a corner from the right was headed home by Porteous to give Arniston the lead.
Glens equalised 10 minutes later when a cross from Clarke was headed home by Napier.
Glens were living dangerously conceding a couple of free kicks around their 18 yard box and a shot from Lucas just missed the target.
Glens then won a free kick 20 yards from goal from which Campbell shot over.
There were no changes from either side at half time, and after the break an excellent Schiavone pass found Clarke but his effort was saved by Cornel.
A effort McLennan was punched clear by Cornel, then Glens conceded another foul on the 18 yard line from which Costello tipped onto the bar from Callaghan.
Glenrothes made their first sub with Russell coming on for Rowan on the hour mark. An effort from Anderson slipped past the post then a long ball found Napier but his first touch let him down.
Robinson broke clear but ran out of space while at the other end, Moffatt again cleared a dangerous situation.
Glens task was made harder when Campbell was given a second yellow and sent off.
Glens were up against it now and finally conceded with five minutes to go when a scrimmage in the goalmouth allowed Tobin into score.
Glens have to pick themselves up now for their next game this Saturday away to Forfar West End with a 1.30 p.m kick-off.
