Thornton Hibs 1, Kilsyth Rangers 3

Hibs came flying out the blocks in this second round Scottish Junior Cup tie and after Adam Drummond had come close to giving them a second minute lead.

Andy Adam had more joy shortly after with a volley from close range. This had the effect of kick-starting the visitors into action and they equalised in the 17th minute through Philip-John Dolan.

In the second half, Kilsyth had most of the possession but thanks to a terrific display of goalkeeping from Mark Rowbotham, they could only find the net twice through Joe Barclay in the 62nd minute and Dolan right at the death. Window Store Hibs’ man of the match – Mark Rowbotham.
