Kennoway were in Fife and Lothian’s Cup action one of the giants of Scottish Junior football.

Linlithgow were patient in their approach and they tried to create openings with an intricate style of play.

Kennoway were looking to top scorer Band and his strike partner Gray in the early stages of the tie.

Band brought out a good save from the home `keeper when he saw his free kick from twenty two yards saved.

The home side took the lead in the twenty seventh minute when a ball played in from the left was knocked home from a few yards by Coyne.

A soft goal to concede considering the organised and disciplined manner KSH had defended.

A slight tweak to the way the players lined up saw KSH start the second half in a very attacking way.

Wilson and Band were looking to get on the ball and try and create chances with some direct running and it was paying off.

KSH drew level when the hard working G Gray got the goal his efforts deserved when his shot from the edge of the area found the corner .

Linlithgow hit back within five minutes when top goalscorer Coyne ghosted past his marker to head home.

Band claimed for a hand ball and a penalty after his effort appeared to strike the arm of a defender.

It was game over in the seventy fifth minute as Strickland finished from close in as a tiring KSH team failed to close down substitute MacGregor`s cross.

Coyne almost grabbed his hat trick as a curling right foot shot saw Paterson scramble across his goal line only to see the ball creep past the post.

With the away side running on empty Strickland grabbed his brace on the eighty fifth minute with another sweet finish.
