PITTENWEEM Youth Football Club has held its annual awards evening and family fun day.
With the season now at an end, the team, plus coaches and parents, got together to celebrate at the Craw’s Nest Hotel in Anstruther.
To recognise their contribution to their team, each player received a small trophy.
Committee member Andy Anderson said: “Sunday was the family fun day with the annual parent versus players matches.
“There was the usual confusion over who won which match, with the players claiming victory in all four games, although the parents were sure they won too.
“There were a few bumps and bruises – mainly among the parents, some of whom may have struggled a bit the following morning.”
Andy said both events were well attended and the club was grateful to all those involved, especially the organisers, without whom they wouldn’t have been such a success.
Coaches, players and supporters had shown great commitment during the season, particularly the Bryson brothers, Ernie, Robert and Alan, who devoted much time to the club, he added.
The club is also looking to establish a 2002/03 team, with more details available by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
