The Raith Rovers boardroom is set to take on a new look following last week’s announcement that chairman Turnbull Hutton is standing down.
The Kirkcaldy club could announce the appointment of new directors within days although no decision has yet been taken on who will replace Hutton in the hot seat.
Eric Drysdale, Raith chief executive, explained: “Things are progressing.
“We hope to be in a position to announce the next stage in the process in the next few days - all being well.
“We don’t want to leave supporters wondering what’s happening in terms of the direction of the club, but the timescale is dependant on the availability of certain people.
“We are entering a new era behind the scenes and there are some exciting times ahead but there is no change in ownership.
“Turnbull is retiring as chairman and as a director but he remains a majority shareholder along with Mario Caira.
“I’m quite sure we’ll still hear from Turnbull from time to time.
“The remainder of the existing board will stay in place it’s just a question of who we are going to add to it.”
