Fixtures lists for the 2014-15 Scottish Championship season were released this week.
Raith Rovers will begin with a home match against Dumbarton on Saturday, August 9, followed by a trip to Alloa the following week.
There are also early fixtures at home to Hearts and Rangers.
The festive schedule sees Rovers away to Falkirk on December 27 and Cowdenbeath on January 3, while the campaign concludes away to Dumbarton on May 2
Rovers and Hearts’ strong ties to World War 1 and McCrae’s Battalion will also be honoured when they meet in a poignant game at Tynecastle on November 8.
A campaign to have their league game played close to Armistice Day was backed by Kirkcaldy MP Gordon Brown and the Stark’s Park club - and generated strong social media support.
Eric Drysdale said: “We’re pretty pleased with the way the fixtures have panned out.
“It’s good to get our feet under the table with ‘normal’ championship games before taking on Hearts in August and Rangers in September.
“We’re also delighted that the SPFL have been able to agree to the request to play Hearts at Tynecastle on November 8.
“Both clubs were very keen on it happening.”
Raith’s first five games: Aug 9 - Dumbarton (h); Aug 16 - Alloa (a); Aug 23 - Hearts (h); Aug 30 - Cowdenbeath (a); Sep 13 - Rangers (h).
