Raith Rovers have hit the back of the .net after launching their new official club website on Tuesday.

In what is described as the biggest overhaul of the club’s online presence in a decade, the new site, www.raithrovers.net, provides fans with a fresh, modern look, as well as new ways of interacting with the club.

The new site continues regular features from the previous site such as news, match reports and fixtures lists – but also includes new features with links to Facebook and Twitter.

It was developed and designed by club volunteer Neil Ingebrigsten, who has been working on various online projects, including the recently launched Rovers Abroad commentary service, over the past few months.

Neil reported that the new site was visited by over 2000 people on its first day, with over 15,000 page views.

The new site replaces the old raithroversfc.com domain, which was run by club stalwart Jim Foy for a number of years.

The Raith board issued a statement thanking Mr Foy for his efforts, adding: “After many years of hard work on the site, Jim has decided to take this opportunity to retire from the web team.”

An online version of Roary’s Super Lotto will be the first new feature added to the new site in the coming weeks, and the club hope this could become a significant new source of revenue.
