Dundonald Bluebell eased into the third round of the Scottish Junior Cup at the weekend.
The Bluebell made the long journey to Aberdeen University to face a side which had beaten Kingdom rivals Kirkcaldy YM in the previous round.
But the Bluebell had no such trouble and goals from Wallace, Lally, Morrison and Carstairs ensured an untroubled 4-1 passage through to the next round.
On Saturday, Bluebell welcome Oakley in league business.
Sadly not joining Bluebell in the hat are Thornton Hibs who went down 3-1 at home to Kilsyth Rangers.
The Hibs came flying out the traps and after Adam Drummond had come close to giving them a second minute lead, Andy Adam had more joy shortly after with a volley from close range.
This had the effect of kick-starting the visitors into action and after they had claims for a penalty turned down, they equalised in the 17th minute through Philip-John Dolan.
In the second-half, Kilsyth had most of the possession but thanks to a terrific display of goalkeeping from Mark Rowbotham, the men from the west could only find the net another two times through Joe Barclay in the 62nd minute and Dolan right at the death.
On Saturday, Thornton host Downfield.
Kirkcaldy managed to get a league fixture squeezed into the cup weekend and the young YM side went down 7-1 to Blairgowrie.
The local men simply found the league leaders a little too hot to handle.
This weekend YM welcome Newburgh.
