AFTER two consecutive goalless draws leading to a Scottish Cup exit, Tayport will hope to get back on the goal trail tomorrow when they return to East Super League duty.

They face a tough fixture, however, away to Bathgate Thistle.

‘Port have enjoyed some memorable wins at Creamery Park, though, including a 2-0 victory on the opening weekend of the newly-formed Super League in August 2002.

On their last visit in February, 2009, the teams shared four goals.

‘Port led 2-1, thanks to a Ronnie Kenneth penalty and an Adam O’Connor strike, but a spot kick from the late Paul McGrillen, formerly of Motherwell, drew the sides level.

THRILLER

Currently, Thistle are five points ahead of ‘Port in the table, but Willie Garner’s men have three games in hand.

When Tayport were suffering penalty kick woe last weekend, Bathgate claimed three league points, winning a seven-goal thriller at Musselburgh.

Kick-off at Creamery Park is scheduled for 2.15pm.
