It was returning striker Andy Wilson who was the man of the match for Kirkcaldy YM as they secured a valuable three points in a 3-1 win at Kirrie Thistle.

Two minutes from the interval YM found themselves a goal behind after a goal from the penalty spot.

Wilson’s levelled the score after 62 mins.

He followed this up with a quick fire double in 72 and 78 minutes to complete his hat trick.

YM have now taken thirteen out of fifteen points from their last five games and travel to Broughty Athletic on Saturday.

Thornton Hibs secured a convincing 3-1 win at Luncarty.

Coco Mullen opened the scoring when he converted Matthew Gay’s corner before further goals from Aiden Gordon and Gay wrapped up the victory.

Ian Shanks saw red for Hibs.

On Saturday Hibs travel to Blairgowrie.

Despite scoring four goals away from home at Whitburn, Dundonald returned empty handed.

The local side went down 5-4 in a nine-goal thriller.

Goals came from Duffy and Carr and with Morrison bagging a brace.

This was the first defeat Dundonald have suffered away from home this season in the league and the management team will be wondering if playing on astro turf had any effect or if it was just a bad day at the office for their team.

This weekend Dundonald are in McBookie.com South Division action when they travel to Haddington Athletic.

The game will kick off at 2.30p.m.
