Fife Thistle........................4

Kirkcaldy Rovers...............2

Thistle faced a double header against Kirkcaldy Rovers last week as they firstly travelled to Kirkcaldy on the Tuesday night where they won 3-0 courtesy of a Kieran Jukes brace and a Ronnie Barnes goal.

Thistle then played host on the Saturday.

It was the visitors who drew first blood when Hill gave Henderson little chance with his finish.

With 54 minutes gone Thistle were back on level terms when substitute Cameron got in behind Grzesiak and unselfishly cut the ball back into the path of Barnes who slammed the ball into the net.

It took Kirkcaldy just two minutes to restore their lead with virtually their first attack of the second half when Polatajko taking full advantage of a sluggish looking Thistle midfield before picking out Wishart who slipped the ball past Henderson.

Thistle were back on level terms again after 71 minutes when the tenacity of Munro won possession before he released McArthur who took a few steps forward before unleashing a thunderbolt into the roof of the net.

Just 15 minutes from time Thistle were in front when a curling corner from Moir was met by the head of Jones and the striker grabbed his first competitive goal after missing most of the season through a shoulder injury.

Five minutes from time Thistle sealed the win when Moir knocked the ball home from point blank range.

The win keeps Thistle in second promotion spot which is now a three way battle between Auchtermuchty Bellvue, St Monans Swallows and Thistle.
