The form book was thrown out the window as Kirkcaldy YM produced a battling performance to earn a 2-2 draw against Dalkeith Thistle.

YM went in at the interval a goal up thanks to Lewis Elder before ‘keeper Roy Ness was adjudged to have brought down Darren Flynn.

The referee awarded a spot kick and Stephen Pusledski equalised.

Kirkcaldy thought they had claimed the three points when Shaun Leishman rose brilliantly to head home a corner.

Jay Hunter, though, equalised.

YM are away to Penicuik Athletic this Saturday.

Thornton Hibs shared 10 goals with Forfar Albion when the two sides met on Saturday.

Garry Thomson scored a hat-trick as the Hibs defeated Forfar Albion 6-4.
