Glenrothes Rugby Club’s 2nd XV, featuring three players making their first appearance for the Carleton Park outfit, faced a strong Stirling County team at Bridgehaugh on Saturday.

Despite tries from Kyle Armstrong and Jim Scott and a conversion from Daryl Warrender, the visitors went down to a 35-12 defeat.

On Sunday, the under-14s enjoyed a seven tries to two victory over local rivals Kirkcaldy.

The Mini Section entertained teams from Crieff Rugby Club.

The crisp pitches did little to dampen the youthful enthusiasm of all of the youngsters.

Next weekend, being a Six Nations weekend - with Scotland hoping to improve on their poor start to this year’s championships - the only games will be on Sunday morning when Kinross are the visitors facing Glenrothes Minis.
