Forty years of senior section golf at Glenrothes Golf club was celebrated in fine style with host of competitions and events.

Over 40 senior members took to the course last Wednesday which saw R Regulski win the nine hole competition, runner up J Turnbull and I Smollet landing the 18 hole competition, runner up W Phillip.

With all rounds completed by early afternoon the competitors retired to a hot buffet and prize giving.

To mark the 40th Anniversary (1972-2012) members also enjoyed a well attended Dinner Dance which saw Club Captain Tom Clunie present the seniors with a new trophy for future competitions.

The club’s Senior Section Open is now scheduled for Monday, 6 August, entry fee £8, contact 01592-758754.
