TWO Elmwood College students will be continuing their studies in the USA after winning prestigious golf scholarships.

Christopher Low and Katie Reid, both currently studying HND professional golf, will head Stateside in August.

Chris, who hails from North Berwick, will be heading to McLennan College in Texas, while Dundee-born Katie is to attend the University of Little Rock, Arkansas, and hopes to turn professional after completing the course.

Katie said: “The lecturers at Elmwood have been very encouraging and given me lots of support.

“I have enjoyed my time at Elmwood and made some good friends and I am excited about my new adventure in America!”

Chris added: “My game has improved dramatically during my two years at Elmwood and I have learned a lot about coaching.

“I am looking forward to putting this into practice and competing collegiately in the States.”
