FIFE Flyers 100 per cent home record will be put to the test this Sunday as the Elite League champions come to town.
Belfast Giants visit Fife Ice Arena for a match that will count towards both league and Challenge Cup points.
Flyers failed to take a single point from Giants last season – something player-coach Todd Dutiaume (pictured) hopes to address at the first time of asking.
“We’re trying to make sure we go into every game not trying to survive, but trying to win,” he said. “We want to win on Sunday, and that’s how we’ll approach it.
“We saw a few things exposed in our win over Coventry, but we’ve had a week to work on things so hopefully we come out on Sunday a better hockey club.”
Flyers are looking to make it five wins from five in the Challenge Cup to strengthen their grip on top spot.
“We’re pretty much home and dry with regards a quarter-final spot but we want to finish top of our division,” Dutiaume added. “That gives us the possibility of the best draw against the fourth placed team from the other section.
“We want to keep our momentum up. You don’t want to give yourself an excuse to lose hockey games.”
