Sunday evening’s Premier Volleyball League fixtures saw the top teams win their games to maintain the closest title race for years.
Craig Donaldson’s second placed Scotrange opened their Sunday evening fixtures against Eagles and the Kinross side eased ahead to take the first set 25-19.
The second set saw Eagles fight all the way with the score moving to 25 points each.
Scotrange just scraped through 27-25.
Fellow Kinross side Kintronics opened impressively against Misfits with Roy Munro back from injury for the Kinross side alongside father Dave Munro and John Cameron back in their ranks after an extensive spell abroad through work.
Kintronics played their best volleyball of the season with youngsters Ruari Souter and Mitchell Brown in fine form as they won 25-9; 25-11.
Old rivals Mental Blocks and Scotrange then took to the court in another enthralling battle between the two.
The Kinross side won 24-23 in a tight and thrilling encounter.
Kintronics and Dunfermline faced each other next with the Kinross side again scoring freely through smart setting from captain Carlo Fiorentini and Andrew Hutchison to win 25-10; 25-11.
Final game of the evening saw Scotrange face their fellow Kinross side Kintronics. With Scotrange running out 25-20; 25-18 winners.
