THE 35th annual general meeting of Disability Sport Fife (DSF) was held at the Fife Sports Institute, with 50 athletes, coaches, member organisation representatives and families in attendance.

Chairman Paul Noble MBE led the proceedings for the evening, while president Richard Brickley MBE gave an in-depth report of the very successful past 12 months and the aspirations and ambitions of DSF for the future.

The year of 2012 is a hugely important time for disability sport, with the Paralympic Games being held in London.

DSF is hopeful of being represented at the games.

This would maintain an outstanding record where the association has been represented at every Paralympic Games since 1984.

Guest speaker on the night was Heather Lowden, education and coaching manager of Scottish Disability Sport, who also presented the association awards for 2011-12.

Heather outlined priorities of the parent body going forward and paid tribute to the significant role DSF has played as the most successful branch of the national governing body of Disability Sport in Scotland.
