Capital win for Paul in 5k event

Markinch athlete Paul Roarty led home 222 runners to win Saturday’s Edinburgh Parkrun.

The Carnegie Harrier has ran the event nine times but this was his first win.

Paul covered the 5k course alomg the Cramond/Silvernowes Promenade in 16 minutes 59 seconds, 14 seconds slower than his PB for the course of 16m 46s]

Chris Russell, Glenrothes had a good run in the 4.5 mile Strathkinnes to Blebocraigs race where he finished runner-up to Fife AC team mate Zach Delaney.

Chris recorded a time of 25 minutes 16 seconds which was a new Male Vet-Over-40 record for the course.
