FIVE Anstruther Haddies made to journey to Glasgow for the Great Scottish Run half marathon.

Christine Bowie and David Nuttall both finished with respectable times of 1:45:57 and 1:59:24.

Liam McMonagle finished in 2:09:28 and Carole Fraser finished in 2:29:08.

Jennifer Gallagher suffered a leg injury at mile 10 and could only manage a time of 2:49:33 as a result.

Other Haddies took part in a half marathon in Dingle in the Republic of Ireland at the weekend.

Niall Hall was first home with a time of 1:46:29 then came mother Alice in 1:50:25 and Elise Methven finished in 1:56:24.

George Hay took part in the Highland Half marathon in Perthshire and finished in 2:21.

Debz Hay and Jacqui MacDonald did the full marathon finishing in 3:49 and 4:27 respectively.
