LOCAL joiner, Keiron Baillie, has just returned from a most successful weekend at the Scottish Classics away round at Kirkistown in Ireland.

Driving a beautifully prepared Mark 1 Ford Escort, Keiron achieved two class wins in tightly fought battles with rival Lotus Elans and the Marcos.

He received two trophies for his class wins from the Scottish Motor Racing Club and was also presented with two beautiful crystal glasses from the host club, the 500 Motor Racing Car Club in Kirkistown, a fantastic circuit near Belfast.

To top it all, Keiron was also presented with the trophy for Driver of the Day.

Keiron is pictured with former SMRC competition secretary Chris Edwards, who was officiating at the event.
