STRATHMIGLO bowler Lesley Gordon has added to her growing list of achievements by retaining the British Isles under-25 women’s singles championship.

Lesley beat England’s Annalisa Bellamy 18-12 in the final of this year’s competition, which was held in Llanelli.

She had earlier won her semi-final 18-8 against Jess Williams of Wales.

In the team competition, Scotland finished third on shots after ending the series of matches level on points with England and Wales.

Lesley’s victory is the latest in a string of honours she has received nationally, internationally, and at county level.

That includes last year’s British Isles event in Ayr, where she captured the women’s under-25 singles title in a tense final against fellow Scot Stacey Laidlaw.
