Lundin’s future looks bright

Lundin Bowling Club open day

Lundin Bowling Club open day

LUNDIN Bowling Club held a very successful open day to encourage new members to join the club.

Like many other clubs there had been concern at Lundin over the falling and ageing membership but the day resulted in 53 new adult members and a further 15 juniors.

A development officer at Bowls Scotland, who was on hand, said it was probably the most successful membership drive that has taken place in Scotland.

Arrangements are now in place to provide tuition where required for the new members, many of whom are beginners.

Coaching is being provided on Monday and Friday evenings and on Sunday afternoons, with a number of beginners already having turned up and had a great time learning the game.
