THE heavy rain didn’t in any way dampen the stock car action at the Cowdenbeath Racewall on Saturday night, where Stuart Shevill Jnr retained his saloon Scottish Championship in a hectic race.

Shevill Jnr beat Gordon Alexander and Ally Strachan to the chequered flag in a race which was briefly suspended because of a fire.

In the Formula IIs, Chris Burgoyne dominated wining ahead of Robbie Dawson and Garry Sime in the final.

Lindsay Wilson led home a good turnout of lightning rods races while wining two of the three races.

He finished ahead of Alan Conroy and Alex Imrie in the final.

The ministox drivers were contesting the final round of their Disco Trophy and Cammie McGowan was unveiled as the winner.

He scored the top points finish after Arran Chidwick, Sean Devine both won races.

The Junior banger races saw Daniel Davidson leading home Sean Riddell and Cat Murray in the final.

This Saturday the Formula IIs, saloons, hot rods and Prostox will all be racing.

As usual, the meeting starts at 6pm.
