Stefan Hoggan receives the Bill Pullar Award from Mrs Margaret Pullar.

STEFAN Hoggan from Auchtermuchty, a member of Carnegie Swimming Club, has been awarded the Bill Pullar Bursary for 2012.

Performance athletes with a disability or leading coaches of disability athletes can apply for the bursary to assist them with their training, coaching or competition expenses.

The bursary is awarded each year in memory of the late Bill Pullar who was the architect of the Fife Sports Institute, the training base for so many of Fife’s Paralympic athletes and players since it was first opened in 1970.

Bill’s widow, Margaret, from Cupar, decides who should be awarded the bursary with support from Disability Sport Fife.
