SCOTTISH Women’s U19 international Briony Gillin joined her Largo Cricket Club team-mates at one of their pre-season nets on Sunday.
Briony used the session to get in a little extra practice before she jets off Dubai to play in the inaugural MCC U19 Women’s Arabian Cricket Challenge Trophy tournament.
The mid-February tournament, which will be hosted in world class venues including the prestigeous Sheik Zayed Stadium, sees Scotland compete against some of the best English county teams including Lancashire and Sussex.
Waid S6 pupil Briony is looking forward to the challenge of bowling against topclass opposition.
With its limited finacial resources, CricketScotland asked the team to contribute to the cost of the trip.
Briony and her family have been fundraising for some time and Briony thanked the club for their donation towards the fund.
Further Largo Cricket Club nets will be held every Sunday in March, 3p.m. - 5p.m. at Levenmouth Sports Centre.
