Glenrothes teenager Calum Foster, Team Leslie Bike Shop/Right Move Windows, enjoyed another good result at the Nick Hardy Memorial Two Stage Race at the weekend.

Foster was attempting to follow in Tony Reidy and Kevin Barclay’s wheel tracks by winning the race as a junior, but he will need to wait until next year as he ended the event in second place.

Stage one, a five mile time trial, saw Foster’s team mate John McCaffery taking seventh place with Foster in 19th, however in two, a 50 mile road race, Foster escaped the bunch with 30 miles to go, riding on his own for 10 miles before being joined by another six riders. At the finish Foster took second place, giving him second overall. while McCaffery took eighth place and 10th overall.

Over in the west of Scotland another LBS/RMW rider, Rab Carson, took seventh place in the Glasgow South 10 mile TT in a time of 21 minutes 17 seconds.
