ST ANDREWS Bowling Club launched its 125th anniversary celebrations with a special commemorative dinner attended by almost 100 members.
The setting for the occasion was St Andrews Town Hall and those attending were welcomed by club president David Harvey.
In his address, he gave a potted history of the club. Other speakers included past president Wray MacArthur, who delivered Grace, and honorary president Tony McDermott, who gave the vote of thanks.
The event was rounded off with the presentation of a commemorative flag to Mr Harvey by Betty Ness, the immediate past lady president.
Commemorative ties and pens were gifted to all those present to mark the milestone in the history of club.
The opening day of the new season is April 14 and a special guest will be Fife Provost and local St Andrews Councillor Mrs Frances Melville.
The anniversary celebration programme will also include a buffet dance in September to which all bowling club and social members will be invited.
