Connor Syme is heading to France for the European Championships – the golfing kind, rather than football.
The Drumoig player is part of the Scotland squad which is taking part in the week-long team tournament at Chantilly.
The Scots are defending champions and Connor said he was feeling positive about being there, while he liked the look of the course.
“It’s really good to go out and defend that,” he told the Citizen.
“We have a good strong team this year.”
Connor was very unfortunate to miss the cut by a single shot in his most recent tournament, the SSE Scottish Hydro Challenge at Spey Valley, which was interrupted by rain and lightning.
