SRUC Elmwood Golf Course will be opening its doors to local high schools and visitors on Friday, March 10.

The event will evolve around a high school tournament which is open to pupils from Fife, Tayside and Perthshire.

Members of the public are welcome to support the teams which will be made up of three high school pupils and a professional golf student.

There will also be the opportunity to benefit from some free coaching and try out the driving range and putting green.

The event will provide a realistic working environment for Elmwood students from the hospitality department, the sport and golf section and the greenkeeping team who will be responsible for the catering, the rules and etiquette of the competition and the setting out and preparation of the tournament.

Sarah Geddes, event organiser, said “We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to our great outdoor learning facility.”

The event starts at 9.30am.
