Fife AC had a successful day at the Scottish Half Marathon Championships in Elgin, with the women picking up the team prize.

In the individual standings, Megan Crawford (Edinburgh) was placed third in 1.22.19.

Halina Rees (Crail) was fifth in 1.25.29, while Amie McKimmie (Dundee) was seventh in 1.27.04 and Jen Kibble (Ceres) finished 15th in 1.32.45.

Meanwhile, a number of Fife AC juniors competed at the Scottish Junior Hill Trials for the Home International in Aberfoyle.

While older sister Halina was making her half marathon debut, brothers Logan, Tristan and George Rees (all from Crail) all placed in the top three in their respective age groups.

Logan – pictured right – won the u16 race and Tristan and George were second and third respectively in the 14 race.

Also competing were Ronan McKinstray (Anstruther) who finished seventh in the u16 boys’ race and Ailsa Cruickshanks (Lundin Links) who was fourth in the u16 girls’ race.
