MARKINCH man, Robbie Craig, struck gold at the Fife Disability Bowls Championships.
His victory over Kirkcaldy’s Eleanor Clark came in a closely-contested final of the mixed restricted section for physically disabled and visually impaired bowlers at the event at Beveridge Park.
The championships involve bowlers with a physical, visual, or learning disability.
Those with a learning disability are divided into divisions according to their ability and bowlers in the top division are competing for a place in the Fife team for the Scottish Championships in Aberdeen this autumn and the Inter Area Test Match for bowlers with a learning disability at Musselburgh next month.
Wullie Harrison (Forward Centre, Glenrothes) won the men’s wheelchair section with a victory over newcomer and team-mate Jim Donaldson.
Both have been included in the Fife squad for the ‘Scottish’, as has Robbie Craig.
