Organisers of this year’s Sport Relief Mile are encouraging Kirkcaldy people to dig out their running kit to help raise some cash.

The event will set off from Beveridge Park on Sunday, March 23, with hundreds of locals expected to get on their marks for Sport Relief.

With a choice of one, three or six mile runs, the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile is open to everyone from super sprinters to willing walkers.

You can enter now at sportrelief.com, get sponsored and help transform the lives of people living here in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries, while being part of an incredible nationwide event.

Alistair Cameron, Kirkcaldy and Central Fife Sports Council, said: “Come on Kirkcaldy, what are you waiting for! Last year the Kirkcaldy Mile had more than 650 participants, and this year we want even more of you to get involved to get that total even higher.

“There will be something for everyone on what looks set to be a great day, so don’t forget to rope in your mates, family, boyfriend, girlfriend and colleagues too and
get training.”
