Golfers happy to pitch in

CHARLETON Members’ Golf Club, by Colinsburgh, has once again shown its support for a cancer charity.

Golfers swung into action in a recent charity match to raise funds in memory of Lynn Forrest who died at the age of 28 from leukaemia in December 2008 at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

And last week a cheque for £2260, raised from the event, was presented to Lewis Hay of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research (Scotland).

Our picture above shows Mr Hay (left) with vice-captain Jim Baillie (centre) and Lynn’s father, club captain Charles Forrest, at the presentation.
