DISABLED members and coaches of the Scottish Disability Golf Partnership (SDGP) accepted a recent invitation from Charleton Golf Club to play in a brand new match.

Players from across Scotland travelled to Colinsburgh to play a stableford competition over 18 holes, with some 28 golfers participating for the inaugural Challenge Trophy.

Ruairidh Deans of Kilconquhar, an SDGP member and also a Special Olympic competitor, was overall individual winner with 41 stableford points. The Charleton Club members took the Challenge Trophy by six games to one.
