THE Anster Haddies returned recently to the Lomond Hills for a well-attended and gruelling training session.
After a impromptu warm-up at Craigmead Car Park, they ran to the summit of West Lomond and back in preparation for the upcoming Tour of Fife.
During the holiday season, the Haddies are as likely to pack vests and trainers as a bucket and spade.
This week, Tricia Wallace combined a holiday in Ireland with the Killarney Maxi Marathon – 15 miles around the Irish coastline and generally regarded as one of the most scenic races in Europe.
Tricia completed the course in 2hrs 28mins.
Closer to home, Ronan McKinstray took part in the Beveridge Park 5k organised by Fife AC and finished third Junior in 19:33.
From August 17, the Haddies will be relocating to the Waid Sports Centre, meeting at the cafe before and after training.
