Ian Dale was inducted into the Glenrothes Cricket Club Hall of Fame in 2014.

Chippy, as he is affectionaly known, joined the club in 1983 and has captained the club on four occasions, one of these bringing an ESCA Division 1 Championship in 2012.

He is one of the best batsmen the club has ever produced, scoring 7757 first XI runs at an average of 26.7, and a high score of 117 not out. He has also shown some skills with the ball, taking 118 first XI wickets and an average of 26.3.
