All those who excelled on the highland hames circuit during the summer were in Glenrothes on Saturday evening for the Scottish Highland Games Association’s awards, in conjunction with the Fife Highland Games Association [FHGA] annual presentation dinner.
Youth sprinter, Dylan Lindsay, had his best-ever season on the circuit and was rewarded by picking up one of the main awards of the evening, the SHGA’s youth athlete of the year.
Dylan was back on his feet to collect another two awards, firstly for a convincing win in the season-long SHGA points league for youths in events up to 400 metres and for also finishing joint third in the FHGA equivalent.
Youth cyclist, Cameron Clark, from Glenrothes was also in attendance and he collected a trophy for finishing joint runner-up in the SHGA points league.
Although not there on the night, athlete John Thomson, Coaltown of Balgonie and cyclist Tim Allan, Glenrothes, will have awards to pick up.
John was third in the SHGA league for athletes in distance events, while Tim was runner-up in both the SHGA and FHGA open cycling leagues.
