Kingdom Boxing Club picked up one gold and two silver medals at the Scottish Junior and Schoolboy Championships, held at the Ravenscraig Sports Complex in Motherwell over the past two weekends.

Kirkcaldy fighter Jay Dickie claimed gold in the junior 57kg category and will now fight for the British title in April.

Jay overcame Ryan Taylor from Dennistoun Boxing Club on a split decision in the semi-final, before defeating Cameron McBeth from Edinburgh’s Bronx Club, also on a split decision, in the final.

Fellow Kingdom boxer Adam Burke won silver in the junior 52kg, winning his semi-final before losing out to Declan Duffy from Clydebank Boxing Club in the final.

Jett Dickie, Jay’s younger brother, was also fighting for the 36kg schoolboy title.

After winning his semi-inal he fought Stephen Black from Kierhardie Boxing Club where he picked up the silver medal.
