LUNDIN Sports seconds entertained the Games Club of Broughty Ferry in a recent instalment of their Henderson Vase campaign.
Playing first couple were Robert Cuthberston and Jane Lorimer.
The duo played some assured tennis, taking the first set 7-5, although their opponents recovered to win the second set 6-2.
Robert and Jane then turned in an excellent display for the rest of the evening, dropping only four games in the following four sets, resulting in an excellent return of 2½ for this pairing.
Douglas Allan was joined by Val Eglington who made short work of the Games Club’s pairing 6-1, 6-0.
They followed this up by sharing the spoils against the opponents’ firsts, both sets ending 6-3, before wrapping up their evening with a solid win over their opposite numbers 6-2, 6-3.
Stuart Kerr teamed up with Juliet Brown and they got off to a flyer against the Games Club’s seconds of Davidson and McDonald, before eventually cruising through the tie without dropping a game to wrap up the contest 7-2 to the local side.
