Brig Tavern based darts ace Jamie Clark reached the last 32 of the British Open Darts Championships on Sunday in Bridlington.

Jamie only lost out to current BDO world champion Scott Waites 4-3 in their tie..

He won his first game 3-2, the second 3-1 and his third 3-0 before facing Dutchman Willem Mandigers whom Waites had beaten in the first round of the World Championships on route to winning it.

Jamie won this 4-3 to set up the tie against the world champion.

Empire youngster Lewis McMahon travelled down with Jamie and the Alpha Bar’s Wullie Burness won first game 3-1 but lost his second 3-0 to number seven seed and Welsh international, Dean Reynolds.

The Empire’s Chelsea McMahon picked up her fifth youth title of the season at the CISWO Glenrothes where she beat Erin McNeil (pictured).
