BOYS’ team Leven Royals under-17s recently received a financial boost from the Rotary Club of Leven.

A cheque for £400 was presented to the side before their recent Spring Cup semi-final clash with Cupar Colts at Leven.

The money will help with ongoing running costs for the team, who play in the AFYFC Division 2.

The Royals celebrated their windfall with a close-fought win against Cupar, who held the home team to a 3-3 draw during normal time, with the Leven club running out 4-2 winners on penalties.

Leven will now meet Kingseat under-17s in the Spring Cup final, to be played in Kirkcaldy on May 13.
