AWARD-winning community football club, Glenrothes Strollers, sent a team to compete in the Stirling City Disability Football Tournament.
“The Strollers team have only been training together for the past three months, so the boys were a bit nervous about playing their first competitive games,” said chairman John Buchanan.
“But it turned out that they played really well, winning two of their group games, and reaching the final.
“Unfortunately they lost in the final against a strong team from Dundee, but they can all be very proud of their efforts.
“One of the Strollers players Adil Salim, collected the ‘player of the tournament’ award.
“The club would like to thank Bill Cameron and Eric Grieve (coaches) for all of their hard work developing this team.”
Any boys or girls aged between 12 and 18 years old, interested in joining this team should contact John on 07837 348060
Aly company or individual interested in supporting Strollers with their broader community work would also be welcome to get in touch.
