Glenrothes Tennis Club held a very successful silent auction which raised £800.

All auction lots were donated and the club is very grateful to all donors, including the following local firms who donated vouchers - Jessop Jewellers, Alison Stewart, Abraxas and Kirkcaldy Golf Clubs and Wellsgreen, the tennis coach Tom Gilmour, The Fife Institute and the photographer Steven Brown. The Lomond Centre donated the use of the function suite which proved ideal.

The funds raised will be used for paying the Lawn Tennis association affiliation fee, the planning application to reinstate the old Dovecot tennis courts and providing some equipment for tennis coaching.

The club is now planning the tennis coaching to be held at Auchmuty High School during the Easter holidays.

Interested parties should contact the club at glenrothestennisclub@yahoo.co.uk for further details.
