Anstruther Tennis Club held its championship finals day recently.
Spectators enjoyed some entertaining and lively matches with the club’s junior players excelling on the day.
The day kicked off with the ladies and men’s singles finals.
Junior girl Ellie Hall beat Carol Horsburgh in two sets to retain the title for the second year in succession.
The men’s final saw a closely contested match between junior players Sean Allan and Joe Swankie.
Sean took the title in three sets.
The ladies doubles saw Ellie Hall again in action, this time partnered by her singles opponent Carol Horsburgh.
The couple won through to beat Ena Aitken and partner Tracy Knox in two sets.
The men’s doubles was a contest between juniors Sean Allan and Dylan Suttie against Ernie Allan and Adam Alexander.
The junior duo were again clear winners on the day.
Lunch was followed by the mixed pairs final and the final of the junior boy’s competition.
In three sets the partnership of Adam Alexander and Carol Horsburgh beat Ellie Hall and Toby Anstruther.
Sean Allan, in his third final of the day, was again victorious against Dylan Suttie in the junior boy’s final.
In the junior girl’s final Rosie Knox beat Ana Brocklebank in two sets.
The club extended its thanks to Diana Frew, previous junior club captain who presented the trophies on the day.
