A variety of trophies will once again be up for grabs at the Kirkcaldy and Central Fife Sports Council awards night.

If you haven’t nominated an individual or team for a Kirkcaldy and Central Fife sports award, then now is the time to do it.

The deadline for receiving entries for the 2014 awards, run by Kirkcaldy and Central Fife Sports Council (KCFSC), is Monday.

The top award - Sports Personality of the Year - has been put to the public vote but there are eight more categories up for grabs at the prize ceremony taking place at Fife College’s St Brycedale campus in Kirkcaldy on Thursday, March 26.

They include the Junior Award (16 and under), Youth Award (16 to 21 years), Senior Award (over 21),
Disability Award, Coach of the Year, Junior/Youth Team of the Year (under 21), Team
of the Year and Service to Sport.

All the nominations will be collated by the sports council, with winners and runners-up to be decided by a judging panel.

Anyone can nominate, so if you are a friend, relative or team mate of someone who deserves some recognition for their sporting achievements in 2014, be sure to put their name forward.

A nomination form can be down downloaded from the KCFSC website at www.kcfsportscouncil.co.uk.
