Fife Flyers are closing in on further new signings with an announcement expected tomorrow (Friday)..

The club is lagging behind its Elite League counterparts in terms of confirmed signings for the 2015-16 season with only four players on the roster thus far - namely Kyle Haines, Ryan Dingle, Stephen Gunn and Danny Stewart.

Conference rivals Braehead Clan this week announced their 13th summer signing, but Flyers associate coach Stewart assured anxious fans that there is plenty activity behind the scenes, with a fifth player imminent.

“Things are going well from a recruiting stand point,” Stewart told the Press. “Right now we are focused on finding some size up front that will also produce.

“We are in talks with a couple of goalies and hoping for a possible decision shortly.”

Meanwhile, a structure has been proposed for the new format of under 20 ice hockey in the UK. The EIHA will run the new U20s league in England, while SIH-UK will continue with their current U20s league.

Ice Hockey UK will then manage and run an U20s National Champion Finals weekend to determine the champion U20 team in the UK.
